HELP / CLIENT COMMUNICATION
Record a useful proposal walkthrough
Prepare your screen, explain the quotation clearly and review the recording before sharing it.
Prepare the explanation
Choose the quotation or material you want to explain and decide what the client needs to understand. A walkthrough works best when it answers a question: why you recommended a package, what a stage includes or how the timing works.
Prepare your desktop
Close unrelated windows, private documents and notifications before recording. Use a quiet place and check your microphone. If you plan to appear on camera, check the framing and background. Get permission before recording another person or material you are not authorized to share.
Allow the permissions you need
Open Walkthroughs in the sidebar. Use All, Quotes or Invoices to find existing recordings, or choose Record to start the recording setup. In Record New Walkthrough, choose Quote Walkthrough or Invoice Walkthrough, then select the document and Continue. Allow only the screen, microphone and camera access needed for that recording.
If the document is not available to record
Check the active workspace, document type and document state. The recording workflow is intended for published or sent quotes and invoices. Search by the document’s recognizable name or reference. If the document is still a draft, finish its review and publishing process before recording a customer explanation.
Record one clear explanation
Use the quotation as your reference and keep the customer’s decision in mind.
- Introduce the purpose of the quotation and who the proposal is for.
- Explain the main items, options or stages.
- Call out any important exclusions, timing and terms.
- End with the question or action you would like the client to take.
Review before sharing
Watch the recording and listen to the audio. Check for private information on screen, unclear sections and any difference between the explanation and the current quote. Use the available sharing options to provide the walkthrough alongside the proposal.
If the quotation changes, check the recording again. An explanation of an old price or scope can confuse the recipient.
If recording does not work
Confirm that the plan includes walkthroughs, check browser permissions and make sure the intended microphone or camera is available. Another app may already be using the device. Try a short recording to check the setup before recording the full explanation. Contact support if the controls continue to fail.
