Make the scope clear before the work begins

A professional quotation explains what you will provide, what it costs and how the customer can move forward. Moonbreak brings those details into a branded document, with an online link your customer can return to.

Use item descriptions to remove ambiguity. Separate quantities and unit prices, explain what is included and set out your terms. A clear quote gives both sides a shared reference before the work starts.

Build the quotation in seven focused steps

The quotation workflow takes you from the opportunity to a reviewed document. Each step gives you a place to check the details before sharing.

  1. Quote Details: give the quotation a recognizable name.
  2. Buyer Info: choose the contact and company receiving the offer.
  3. Your Info: check the business details the customer will see.
  4. Line Items: review products or services, quantities and pricing.
  5. Signature: set the acceptance requirements available on your plan.
  6. Terms & Expiry: explain the terms and how long the offer is valid.
  7. Review: check the complete document before publishing.

Let the document do more of the explaining

A short walkthrough can explain why you recommend a particular package. Comments keep questions close to the quote. E-signatures let the customer record acceptance in the same experience. These capabilities are included on paid plans, with signature allowances varying by plan.

The goal is a clearer conversation: your customer understands the offer, knows what to ask and can see the next step.

Follow up with context, not assumptions

Client signals can show document views and email engagement on paid plans. Use them to prepare a relevant follow-up. An opened email or viewed quote is not a commitment to buy, and tracking can be affected by email privacy settings.

A useful next step

“Hi Alex, does the delivery schedule in the quotation work for your team? I can clarify the installation details before you make a decision.”

Carry the agreement into an invoice

When the scope is agreed, create an invoice from the quotation. Review the amount due, billing details and payment instructions before sending. Your customer record and the quoted work stay connected.

Common questions

Can I share a quotation through a link?

Yes. Published quotes have a public link that clients can use to review the document. Treat the link as something to share only with intended recipients.

Are e-signatures included?

Paid plans include monthly e-signature allowances. Growth includes 15, Pro 30 and Scale 60; see pricing for signer limits and additional usage.

Can a manager approve a quote before it goes out?

Scale includes quote and invoice approval workflows and the Approver role. Configure the review process around the people responsible for approving the work.
